The Space Pilots program is an outreach initiative designed to inspire the next generation of airline pilots. The program involves a team of experienced pilots traveling to cities across the country and engaging with young people including college, high school and middle school students in a variety of ways. This might include red carpet presentations at schools, universities or community centers, hosting Q&A sessions, and providing hands-on demonstrations of flight simulators, checklist systems, and other aviation systems. The goal of the program is to spark interest in aviation fields and show young people, including minorities, native Americans and the under-priviledged that a career in aviation and airline piloting can be a rewarding, exciting and most of all extremely possible path to pursue.
